The Program

Study materials including a Bible, notes, and a daily reading plan.

Residents as well as women in the community participate in the Women’s Refuge program.


Throughout the week, the 

program includes:


  • Individualized counseling.


  • Bible study of the Christian basics


  • Discipleship and fellowship.


  • Group sessions discussing how the “exchanged life” in Christ can empower each woman to start her new life and leave behind

  • Group sessions discussing how the “exchanged life” in Christ can empower each woman to start her new life and leave behind the negative elements of her former life.


  • Training in job skills, home management, financial planning, fitness, and nutrition.

The Women’s Refuge accepts women who are 18 years old and older. Each applicant submits an application and is interviewed by program Directors. If accepted by the board, she must commit to:


  • A stay of 12 to 18 months.


  • Follow the guidelines of the program and participate fully.


  • At director's discretion - work at a job in the area, attend schoo

The Women’s Refuge accepts women who are 18 years old and older. Each applicant submits an application and is interviewed by program Directors. If accepted by the board, she must commit to:


  • A stay of 12 to 18 months.


  • Follow the guidelines of the program and participate fully.


  • At director's discretion - work at a job in the area, attend school, or volunteer during the day only.


  • Contribute to the costs of her stay.


  • A physical examination (Full Labs & Drug Testing) is required.


  • Attend a local church every week with other residents.


  • Study the Bible.


  • Must be able to exercise 30 minutes daily.


  • Make realistic goals for the future.


  • Pray for God’s will in her life and in the lives of those who share the home with her.
